R K Narayan (Author Of Malgudi Days)

About RK Narayan Rasipuram Krishnaswami Narayanswami  was a famous Indian author primarily known for Malgudi Days. He was born on 10th October 1906 in Madras where most of his childhood spent in his grandmother’s home. Later on for further studies, he moved to Mysore, where his father was a school teacher. He achieved a degree in B.A. R K had already made up his mind that he wants to be a writer. R K got married to Rajam. After marriage, he became a reporter for a newspaper called ‘THE JUSTICE’. His friend, who was living in oxford managed to show the script of the novel “ Swami and his friends ” to Graham Greene who later on published it. R.K. Narayan got blessed with a baby girl in March 1936. His wife Rajam died due to a typhoid attack. He never got remarried after his wife’s death.
